A very successful Jazz Evening was held at the club at the end of October with The John Spencer Set – JS on drums, Bryn Timms on sax & clarinet, Dave Parfitt on guitar and Pip playing base - entertaining some 40 members and friends with a variety of easy listening jazz numbers.
Together with an excellent buffet provided, and some Real Ale courtesy of David Mitchison, the evening was very well received by both jazz lovers and jazz sceptics. The great sound of a live jazz band at the club may well be repeated before long.
